Island residents with views of the Sound and the
Straits, will assist the USCG in saving lives! |
The United States Coast Guard District 13 has a new life saving program and we are requesting your support to get the word out to
all those you know that live on or have a view of the waters of Puget Sound, Hood Canal, San Juans, the Straits, and other connecting waters. The
US Coast Guard Auxiliary,
District 13 is leading the “Eyes on the Sound” program using
pre-identified volunteers living on or near the waters of Puget
Sound to assist operations watch standers in the successful
prosecution of search and rescue cases.
Volunteers would assist Group Seattle Operation’s watch
standers by being available to observe from their residence, or
travel to an area of an actual or possible distress taking place,
and report your findings directly to the watch stander To

lives,
